Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Building & Construction, Consumer Services and Financial Services & Real Estate sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 rose 0.81%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Indra A (MC:IDR), which rose 4.10% or 0.409 points to trade at 10.375 at the close. Meanwhile, Obrascon Huarte Lain (MC:OHL) added 3.70% or 0.212 points to end at 5.935 and Banco Popular (MC:POP) was up 3.39% or 0.085 points to 2.591 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Repsol (MC:REP), which fell 1.40% or 0.150 points to trade at 10.540 at the close. Grifols SA (MC:GRLS) declined 0.21% or 0.040 points to end at 19.060 and FCC (MC:FCC) was down 0.20% or 0.015 points to 7.600.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 153 to 46 and 20 ended unchanged.
Gold for April delivery was down 0.85% or 10.80 to $1254.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $40.20 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 0.72% or 0.30 to trade at $41.24 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.37% to 1.1274, while EUR/GBP fell 0.42% to 0.7782.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.30% at 95.05.
