Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Telecoms & IT and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 rose 0.23%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Grifols SA (MC:GRLS), which rose 1.68% or 0.420 points to trade at 25.370 at the close. Meanwhile, Bankia (MC:BKIA) added 1.48% or 0.015 points to end at 1.029 and Inditex (MC:ITX) was up 0.98% or 0.355 points to 36.665 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Banco Popular (MC:POP), which fell 17.40% or 0.087 points to trade at 0.413 at the close. ArcelorMittal SA (MC:MTS) declined 3.66% or 0.715 points to end at 18.800 and Tecnicas Reunidas (MC:TRE) was down 1.81% or 0.625 points to 33.870.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 87 to 84 and 10 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.73% or 9.29 to $1276.29 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 0.97% or 0.47 to hit $47.89 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract fell 0.85% or 0.43 to trade at $50.20 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.48% to 1.1267, while EUR/GBP rose 0.51% to 0.8748.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.45% at 96.72.
