Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Building & Construction, Consumer Services and Telecoms & IT sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 gained 0.54%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were ArcelorMittal SA (MC:MTS), which rose 2.62% or 0.655 points to trade at 25.660 at the close. Meanwhile, Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy SA (MC:GAM) added 2.60% or 0.310 points to end at 12.255 and Tecnicas Reunidas (MC:TRE) was up 2.56% or 0.700 points to 28.020 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Cellnex Telecom SA (MC:CLNX), which fell 1.34% or 0.30 points to trade at 22.04 at the close. Endesa (MC:ELE) declined 0.51% or 0.100 points to end at 19.525 and BBVA (MC:BBVA) was down 0.44% or 0.024 points to 5.416.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 112 to 58 and 21 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.01% or 12.00 to $1196.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.40% or 0.26 to hit $65.47 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 0.74% or 0.53 to trade at $72.36 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.17% to 1.1459, while EUR/GBP fell 0.07% to 0.8965.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.15% at 95.86.
