Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Building & Construction, Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 gained 0.43%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Distribuidora Intl de Aliment (MC:DIDA), which rose 15.97% or 0.294 points to trade at 2.135 at the close. Meanwhile, Ferrovial (MC:FER) added 2.57% or 0.450 points to end at 17.970 and ACS Actividades de Construccion y Servicios SA (MC:ACS) was up 1.98% or 0.720 points to 37.000 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were International Consolidated Airlines Group SA (MC:ICAG), which fell 2.47% or 0.190 points to trade at 7.494 at the close. Amadeus IT (MC:AMA) declined 0.20% or 0.140 points to end at 71.500 and Melia Hotels (MC:MEL) was down 0.18% or 0.020 points to 11.180.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 111 to 47 and 27 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.15% or 1.80 to $1221.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.54% or 0.37 to hit $68.59 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 0.19% or 0.14 to trade at $73.31 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.16% to 1.1566, while EUR/GBP fell 0.07% to 0.8895.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.03% at 95.03.
