Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Hotels & Tourism, Petrochemicals and Transport sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share declined 1.27%.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were The Mediterranean&Gulf Insurance Co (SE:8030), which rose 10.30% or 2.25 points to trade at 24.10 at the close. Meanwhile, Al-Ahlia Insurance Company (SE:8140) added 9.02% or 0.55 points to end at 6.65 and Etihad Etisalat Co (SE:7020) was up 4.10% or 1.10 points to 27.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Aljazira Takaful Taawuni Company (SE:8012), which fell 7.23% or 2.50 points to trade at 32.10 at the close. Al-Rajhi Cooperative Insurance (SE:8230) declined 7.19% or 1.65 points to end at 21.30 and Al Hokair Group (SE:1820) was down 6.46% or 2.90 points to 42.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 142 to 18 and 7 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for April delivery was down 2.88% or 1.11 to $37.39 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 2.85% or 1.15 to hit $39.24 a barrel, while the April Gold contract fell 0.11% or 1.40 to trade at $1258.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.32% to 4.1695, while USD/SAR fell 0.05% to 3.7498.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.22% at 96.44.
