Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Media & Publishing, Energy & Utilities and Transport sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share fell 0.34%.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Dur Hospitality (SE:4010), which rose 10.02% or 2.20 points to trade at 24.15 at the close. Meanwhile, Tihama Advertising&Public Relations (SE:4070) added 9.93% or 2.80 points to end at 31.00 and Arabian Shield Coop Insurance Co (SE:8070) was up 7.69% or 3.00 points to 42.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Saudi Chemical Company (SE:2230), which fell 4.55% or 1.90 points to trade at 39.90 at the close. Saudi Printing & Packaging Company (SE:4270) declined 3.10% or 0.65 points to end at 20.35 and Saudi Kayan Petrochemical Company (SE:2350) was down 2.73% or 0.25 points to 8.90.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 85 to 73 and 12 ended unchanged.
Shares in Arabian Shield Coop Insurance Co (SE:8070) rose to 52-week highs; up 7.69% or 3.00 to 42.00.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.53% or 0.28 to $53.23 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $55.90 a barrel, while the February Gold contract unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to trade at $1135.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.04% to 3.9238, while USD/SAR fell 0.05% to 3.7510.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.12% at 102.95.
