Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Retail, Insurance and Building & Construction sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share declined 0.31%.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Amana Cooperative Insurance Co (SE:8310), which rose 6.67% or 1.25 points to trade at 20.00 at the close. Meanwhile, AXA Cooperative Insurance Company (SE:8250) added 5.70% or 1.20 points to end at 22.25 and Mouwasat Medical Services Company (SE:4002) was up 3.57% or 5.25 points to 152.25 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Al-Ahlia Insurance Company (SE:8140), which fell 4.15% or 0.60 points to trade at 13.85 at the close. Etihad Atheeb Telecommunication (SE:7040) declined 3.54% or 0.350 points to end at 9.550 and Arabia Insurance Cooperative Co (SE:8160) was down 3.26% or 0.45 points to 13.35.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 114 to 35 and 27 ended unchanged.
Shares in AXA Cooperative Insurance Company (SE:8250) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 5.70% or 1.20 to 22.25. Shares in Mouwasat Medical Services Company (SE:4002) rose to all time highs; up 3.57% or 5.25 to 152.25.
Crude oil for May delivery was up 0.30% or 0.16 to $53.27 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.23% or 0.13 to hit $55.99 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.86% or 10.95 to trade at $1289.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.33% to 3.9867, while USD/SAR fell 0.01% to 3.7499.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.25% at 100.31.
