Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Financials and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 lost 2.67% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Impresa SGPS (LISBON:IMPA), which unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 points to trade at 0.85 at the close. Meanwhile, Teixeira Duarte (LISBON:TDSA) fell 0.82% or 0.0050 points to end at 0.6030 and CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LISBON:CTT) was down 0.98% or 0.0910 points to 9.2050 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Altri SGPS (LISBON:ALSS), which fell 6.17% or 0.2305 points to trade at 3.5025 at the close. Banco BPI (LISBON:BBPI) declined 4.14% or 0.0575 points to end at 1.3325 and Semapa (LISBON:SEM) was down 3.24% or 0.4150 points to 12.3900.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 57 to 10 and 2 ended unchanged.
Shares in Teixeira Duarte (LISBON:TDSA) fell to 52-week lows; down 0.82% or 0.0050 to 0.6030.
Brent oil for July delivery was down 1.19% or 0.76 to $62.55 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 1.88% or 1.11 to hit $58.02 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.30% or 3.50 to trade at $1171.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 1.06% to 1.1232, while EUR/GBP rose 0.92% to 0.7344.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.74% at 95.67.
