Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Telecoms, Industrials and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 declined 0.60% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Semapa (LS:SEM), which rose 2.74% or 0.2850 points to trade at 10.6700 at the close. Meanwhile, Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) added 2.18% or 0.0007 points to end at 0.0328 and Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS) was up 1.22% or 0.0380 points to 3.1430 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which fell 5.34% or 0.0070 points to trade at 0.1240 at the close. Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) declined 4.04% or 0.0720 points to end at 1.7100 and Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) was down 2.46% or 0.2950 points to 11.7000.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 28 to 15 and 9 ended unchanged.
Shares in Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) fell to all time lows; falling 5.34% or 0.0070 to 0.1240.
Brent oil for July delivery was down 1.19% or 0.58 to $48.35 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 1.02% or 0.49 to hit $47.70 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 1.68% or 21.45 to trade at $1252.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.07% to 1.1208, while EUR/GBP fell 0.18% to 0.7670.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.06% at 95.26.
