Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Financials, Technology and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 lost 0.40%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR), which rose 2.55% or 0.0740 points to trade at 2.9800 at the close. Meanwhile, Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC) added 2.04% or 0.0120 points to end at 0.6000 and Semapa (LS:SEM) was up 2.00% or 0.2150 points to 10.9650 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP), which fell 5.13% or 0.0012 points to trade at 0.0222 at the close. Banco BPI (LS:BBPI) declined 3.56% or 0.0410 points to end at 1.1120 and Sonae (LS:YSO) was down 2.41% or 0.0220 points to 0.8910.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 26 to 19 and 10 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for August delivery was down 1.16% or 0.61 to $51.90 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 1.41% or 0.72 to hit $50.51 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.86% or 10.90 to trade at $1273.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.67% to 1.1319, while EUR/GBP fell 0.37% to 0.7825.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.46% at 94.02.
