Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Financials and Consumer Goods sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 lost 0.35%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were EDP (LS:EDP), which rose 0.79% or 0.0230 points to trade at 2.9220 at the close. Meanwhile, Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) added 0.41% or 0.0550 points to end at 13.4250 and Novabase SGPS (LS:NBA) was up 0.30% or 0.009 points to 2.999 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which fell 2.62% or 0.0100 points to trade at 0.3720 at the close. Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) declined 1.72% or 0.0029 points to end at 0.1654 and Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS) was down 1.32% or 0.200 points to 14.900.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 21 to 10 and 12 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for May delivery was down 0.35% or 0.18 to $50.78 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 0.21% or 0.10 to hit $48.14 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.28% or 3.55 to trade at $1250.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.02% to 1.0812, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.00% to 0.8663.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.16% at 99.39.
