Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Financials, Telecoms and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 declined 0.30%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Galp Energia Nom (LISBON:GALP), which rose 2.13% or 0.2150 points to trade at 10.3150 at the close. Meanwhile, EDP Renovaveis (LISBON:EDPRu) added 1.17% or 0.0780 points to end at 6.7680 and Semapa (LISBON:SEM) was up 0.73% or 0.0875 points to 12.1125 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Banco Comercial Portugues (LISBON:BCP), which fell 4.26% or 0.0032 points to trade at 0.0720 at the close. Mota Engil (LISBON:MOTA) declined 2.67% or 0.0685 points to end at 2.4975 and Banco BPI (LISBON:BBPI) was down 1.82% or 0.0190 points to 1.0240.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 40 to 25 and 2 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for September delivery was up 0.27% or 0.14 to $53.62 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 1.58% or 0.75 to hit $48.14 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.24% or 2.60 to trade at $1094.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.33% to 1.1052, while EUR/GBP fell 0.65% to 0.7080.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.18% at 96.81.
