Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Financials, Industrials and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 declined 0.01%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which rose 6.29% or 0.0090 points to trade at 0.1520 at the close. Meanwhile, Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) added 0.90% or 0.064 points to end at 7.212 and EDP Renovaveis (LS:EDPR) was up 0.80% or 0.0550 points to 6.9300 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS), which fell 4.07% or 0.1380 points to trade at 3.2560 at the close. Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) declined 2.20% or 0.0006 points to end at 0.0267 and Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) was down 0.55% or 0.0650 points to 11.6500.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 29 to 17 and 6 ended unchanged.
Shares in Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) fell to all time lows; losing 2.20% or 0.0006 to 0.0267.
Brent oil for August delivery was up 0.91% or 0.45 to $50.17 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.59% or 0.29 to hit $49.30 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.05% or 0.65 to trade at $1214.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.32% to 1.1153, while EUR/GBP fell 0.40% to 0.7732.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.10% at 95.52.
