Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Consumer Services, Industrials and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 declined 0.01%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Banif SA (LS:BANIF), which rose 4.35% or 0.0001 points to trade at 0.0024 at the close. Meanwhile, Portucel (LS:PTI) added 2.57% or 0.0970 points to end at 3.8770 and Banco BPI (LS:BBPI) was up 1.97% or 0.0220 points to 1.1380 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which fell 2.97% or 0.0100 points to trade at 0.3270 at the close. Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) declined 2.13% or 0.0440 points to end at 2.0210 and Impresa SGPS (LS:IMPA) was down 1.96% or 0.0100 points to 0.5000.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 25 to 25 and 2 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for January delivery was down 0.48% or 0.21 to $44.40 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 0.22% or 0.09 to hit $41.56 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.09% or 1.00 to trade at $1064.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.47% to 1.0616, while EUR/GBP rose 0.36% to 0.7045.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.31% at 99.96.
