Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Financials, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 declined 1.61% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT), which rose 0.87% or 0.0300 points to trade at 3.4600 at the close. Meanwhile, Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS) added 0.42% or 0.050 points to end at 12.000 and Novabase SGPS (LS:NBA) was unchanged 0.00% or 0.000 points to 3.070 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which fell 5.13% or 0.0110 points to trade at 0.2035 at the close. Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) declined 2.71% or 0.1100 points to end at 3.9550 and Sonae (LS:YSO) was down 2.58% or 0.0330 points to 1.2480.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 26 to 8 and 5 ended unchanged.
Shares in Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) fell to 52-week lows; falling 5.13% or 0.0110 to 0.2035.
Brent oil for April delivery was down 1.55% or 1.08 to $68.57 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 0.87% or 0.57 to hit $65.23 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.73% or 9.80 to trade at $1338.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.36% to 1.2469, while EUR/GBP rose 0.40% to 0.8805.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.50% at 88.92.
