Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Telecoms, Basic Materials and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 lost 0.60%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA), which rose 1.26% or 0.140 points to trade at 11.260 at the close. Meanwhile, CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT) added 0.30% or 0.0100 points to end at 3.3540 and Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) was unchanged 0.00% or 0.0000 points to 4.9300 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Mota Engil (LS:MOTA), which fell 2.10% or 0.0600 points to trade at 2.8000 at the close. Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS) declined 1.82% or 0.1500 points to end at 8.0700 and J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT) was down 1.63% or 0.2150 points to 13.0000.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 20 to 11 and 5 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for November delivery was up 0.48% or 0.37 to $77.83 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.62% or 0.43 to hit $69.94 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.51% or 6.20 to trade at $1205.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.43% to 1.1657, while EUR/GBP fell 0.30% to 0.8961.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.29% at 94.73.
