Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Financials and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 fell 0.38% to hit a new 52-week low.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Ramada Investimentos e Industria SA (LS:RAMA), which rose 2.31% or 0.200 points to trade at 8.850 at the close. Meanwhile, Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) added 1.74% or 0.0260 points to end at 1.5200 and Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) was up 1.43% or 0.130 points to 9.230 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR), which fell 3.39% or 0.1280 points to trade at 3.6440 at the close. Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS) declined 3.08% or 0.2100 points to end at 6.6000 and Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) was down 2.01% or 0.2950 points to 14.4050.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 16 to 16 and 6 ended unchanged.
Shares in The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR) fell to 52-week lows; down 3.39% or 0.1280 to 3.6440.
Brent oil for January delivery was down 4.58% or 2.87 to $59.73 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 5.84% or 3.19 to hit $51.44 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.37% or 4.50 to trade at $1223.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.56% to 1.1339, while EUR/GBP fell 0.06% to 0.8851.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.22% at 96.795.
