Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Technology, Industrials and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 added 0.70%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Novabase SGPS (LS:NBA), which rose 4.00% or 0.129 points to trade at 3.351 at the close. Meanwhile, Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) added 2.35% or 0.0050 points to end at 0.2180 and Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) was up 2.17% or 0.0570 points to 2.6850 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which fell 1.18% or 0.0030 points to trade at 0.2520 at the close. Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS) declined 0.93% or 0.135 points to end at 14.400 and EDP Renovaveis (LS:EDPR) was down 0.84% or 0.0590 points to 6.9510.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 23 to 14 and 8 ended unchanged.
Shares in Novabase SGPS (LS:NBA) rose to 52-week highs; up 4.00% or 0.129 to 3.351. Shares in Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 2.17% or 0.0570 to 2.6850.
Brent oil for July delivery was up 0.02% or 0.01 to $53.88 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.10% or 0.05 to hit $51.18 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.64% or 8.04 to trade at $1253.36 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.47% to 1.1184, while EUR/GBP fell 0.20% to 0.8626.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.37% at 97.24.
