Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Utilities and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 added 0.02%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Mota Engil (LS:MOTA), which rose 3.06% or 0.0780 points to trade at 2.6280 at the close. Meanwhile, Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) added 2.82% or 0.0070 points to end at 0.2550 and Montepio (LS:MPIO) was up 1.71% or 0.007 points to 0.417 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT), which fell 1.13% or 0.0610 points to trade at 5.3600 at the close. EDP Renovaveis (LS:EDPR) declined 1.04% or 0.0740 points to end at 7.0100 and Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) was down 0.62% or 0.0340 points to 5.4550.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 19 to 14 and 7 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for July delivery was up 0.56% or 0.30 to $53.91 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.83% or 0.42 to hit $51.09 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.50% or 6.29 to trade at $1259.89 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.21% to 1.1231, while EUR/GBP rose 0.43% to 0.8633.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.11% at 96.89.
