Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Telecoms and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 gained 0.55%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS), which rose 5.15% or 0.600 points to trade at 12.250 at the close. Meanwhile, Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) added 2.31% or 0.1100 points to end at 4.8680 and Semapa (LS:SEM) was up 2.22% or 0.5000 points to 23.0500 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP), which fell 0.92% or 0.0024 points to trade at 0.2576 at the close. EDP Renovaveis (LS:EDPR) declined 0.76% or 0.0700 points to end at 9.1000 and EDP (LS:EDP) was down 0.72% or 0.0250 points to 3.4300.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 22 to 13 and 4 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for September delivery was down 0.22% or 0.17 to $77.22 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 1.15% or 0.84 to hit $73.78 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.21% or 2.60 to trade at $1256.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.46% to 1.1744, while EUR/GBP rose 0.08% to 0.8851.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.39% at 93.76.
