Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Utilities, Consumer Services and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 gained 0.36%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Mota Engil (LS:MOTA), which rose 2.85% or 0.1100 points to trade at 3.9700 at the close. Meanwhile, EDP (LS:EDP) added 2.68% or 0.0730 points to end at 2.8000 and Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) was up 1.48% or 0.0740 points to 5.0600 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR), which fell 2.08% or 0.0940 points to trade at 4.4200 at the close. Novabase SGPS (LS:NBA) declined 1.98% or 0.060 points to end at 2.970 and Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) was down 1.17% or 0.0034 points to 0.2861.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 19 to 15 and 6 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for April delivery was up 1.13% or 0.75 to $67.14 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 1.29% or 0.81 to hit $63.58 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.11% or 1.50 to trade at $1331.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.21% to 1.2304, while EUR/GBP fell 0.43% to 0.8800.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.10% at 89.75.
