Investing.com – Philippines stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Property, Services and Banking & Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite lost 1.18%.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Universal Robina Corp (PS:URC), which rose 0.93% or 1.700 points to trade at 185.000 at the close. Meanwhile, Jollibee Foods Corp (PS:JFC) added 0.81% or 2.000 points to end at 249.800 and Energy Development Corp (PS:EDC) was up 0.50% or 0.030 points to 6.000 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were International Container Terminal Services Inc (PS:ICT), which fell 5.76% or 4.700 points to trade at 76.900 at the close. Bloomberry Resorts Corp (PS:BLOOM) declined 5.05% or 0.270 points to end at 5.080 and BDO Unibank Inc (PS:BDO) was down 3.69% or 4.10 points to 107.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 121 to 62 and 46 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.25% or 3.35 to $1338.35 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.16% or 0.07 to hit $44.55 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.06% or 0.03 to trade at $46.45 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.35% to 7.2377, while USD/PHP rose 0.19% to 48.270.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.07% at 95.34.
