Investing.com – Philippines stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Mining & Oil, Services and Banking & Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite declined 0.98%.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Aboitiz Equity Ventures Inc (PS:AEV), which rose 2.34% or 1.800 points to trade at 78.800 at the close. Meanwhile, Aboitiz Power Corp (PS:AP) added 1.22% or 0.55 points to end at 45.70 and DMCI Holdings Inc (PS:DMC) was up 0.84% or 0.100 points to 11.960 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bloomberry Resorts Corp (PS:BLOOM), which fell 8.66% or 0.440 points to trade at 4.640 at the close. JG Summit Holdings Inc (PS:JGS) declined 4.42% or 3.350 points to end at 72.400 and BDO Unibank Inc (PS:BDO) was down 3.27% or 3.50 points to 103.50.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 145 to 51 and 41 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.37% or 4.95 to $1339.15 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 1.31% or 0.60 to hit $45.33 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 1.63% or 0.78 to trade at $47.15 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was down 0.08% to 7.2273, while USD/PHP fell 0.04% to 48.220.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.07% at 95.28.
