Investing.com – Philippines stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Services, Property and Mining & Oil sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite declined 0.66%.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Aboitiz Equity Ventures Inc (PS:AEV), which rose 1.54% or 1.150 points to trade at 75.950 at the close. Meanwhile, Jollibee Foods Corp (PS:JFC) added 1.35% or 3.00 points to end at 225.00 and Metropolitan Bank and Trust Co (PS:MBT) was up 0.99% or 0.85 points to 87.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were PLDT Inc (PS:TEL), which fell 3.71% or 63.00 points to trade at 1637.00 at the close. Megaworld Corp (PS:MEG) declined 2.83% or 0.140 points to end at 4.800 and LT Group Inc (PS:LTG) was down 2.76% or 0.500 points to 17.600.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 129 to 74 and 53 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.23% or 2.87 to $1265.53 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.16% or 0.08 to hit $49.63 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 0.13% or 0.07 to trade at $52.15 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was down 0.03% to 7.5018, while USD/PHP fell 0.13% to 50.485.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.17% at 93.36.
