Investing.com – Philippines stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Services, Mining & Oil and Property sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite fell 0.59%.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Energy Develop (PS:EDC), which rose 4.25% or 0.240 points to trade at 5.890 at the close. Meanwhile, Dmci Holdings (PS:DMC) added 0.98% or 0.120 points to end at 12.420 and Megaworld Corp (PS:MEG) was up 0.69% or 0.030 points to 4.400 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bloomberry Res (PS:BLOOM), which fell 6.17% or 0.320 points to trade at 4.870 at the close. San Miguel Cor (PS:SMC) declined 5.24% or 2.600 points to end at 47.000 and Lt Group (PS:LTG) was down 2.66% or 0.270 points to 9.890.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 100 to 79 and 12 ended unchanged.
Shares in Bloomberry Res (PS:BLOOM) fell to 3-years lows; down 6.17% or 0.320 to 4.870. Shares in Lt Group (PS:LTG) fell to 3-years lows; losing 2.66% or 0.270 to 9.890.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.56% or 6.20 to $1107.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.58% or 0.70 to hit $45.45 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 0.90% or 0.43 to trade at $48.12 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.05% to 7.3573, while USD/PHP rose 0.05% to 46.764.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.05% at 96.40.
