Investing.com – Philippines stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Services, Property and Banking & Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite rose 1.15%.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Jollibee Foods Corp (PS:JFC), which rose 5.57% or 11.40 points to trade at 216.00 at the close. Meanwhile, PLDT Inc (PS:TEL) added 5.09% or 88.00 points to end at 1816.00 and Ayala Land Inc (PS:ALI) was up 2.92% or 1.150 points to 40.550 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were GT Capital Holdings Inc (PS:GTCAP), which fell 2.76% or 33.00 points to trade at 1162.00 at the close. San Miguel Corp (PS:SMC) declined 1.85% or 2.00 points to end at 106.00 and Universal Robina Corp (PS:URC) was down 1.48% or 2.40 points to 159.60.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 127 to 82 and 47 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.44% or 5.61 to $1266.39 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 1.45% or 0.70 to hit $49.02 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 1.24% or 0.63 to trade at $51.39 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was down 0.02% to 7.3099, while USD/PHP fell 0.04% to 49.755.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.14% at 97.05.
