Investing.com – Philippines stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Mining & Oil, Property and Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite added 1.13%.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Bloomberry Resorts Corp (PS:BLOOM), which rose 6.23% or 0.340 points to trade at 5.800 at the close. Meanwhile, Semirara Mining Corp (PS:SCC) added 5.13% or 6.0000 points to end at 123.0000 and Philex Mining Corp (PS:PX) was up 4.00% or 0.330 points to 8.570 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Alliance Global Group Inc (PS:AGI), which fell 1.41% or 0.220 points to trade at 15.380 at the close. International Container Terminal Services Inc (PS:ICT) declined 0.89% or 0.550 points to end at 61.200 and Metropolitan Bank and Trust Co (PS:MBT) was down 0.86% or 0.75 points to 86.50.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 119 to 72 and 36 ended unchanged.
Gold for August delivery was up 0.51% or 6.80 to $1329.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.04% or 0.02 to hit $47.66 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 0.27% or 0.13 to trade at $49.17 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.06% to 7.0994, while USD/PHP rose 0.09% to 47.030.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.61% at 96.21.
