Investing.com – Philippines stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Industrials, Holding Firms and Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite added 0.40%.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were International Container Terminal Services Inc (PS:ICT), which rose 5.04% or 3.800 points to trade at 79.200 at the close. Meanwhile, Universal Robina Corp (PS:URC) added 2.81% or 4.50 points to end at 164.60 and Metropolitan Bank and Trust Co (PS:MBT) was up 1.54% or 1.20 points to 79.10 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Semirara Mining Corp (PS:SCC), which fell 2.32% or 3.50 points to trade at 147.50 at the close. Robinsons Land Corp (PS:RLC) declined 1.30% or 0.300 points to end at 22.800 and DMCI Holdings Inc (PS:DMC) was down 1.28% or 0.160 points to 12.360.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 104 to 86 and 49 ended unchanged.
Shares in Robinsons Land Corp (PS:RLC) fell to 52-week lows; falling 1.30% or 0.300 to 22.800.
Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.03% or 0.35 to $1202.75 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 0.19% or 0.09 to hit $48.49 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract rose 0.21% or 0.11 to trade at $51.46 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.05% to 7.2800, while USD/PHP fell 0.01% to 50.321.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.18% at 101.44.
