Investing.com – Peru stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Mining, Banking & Financials and Non-Metal Minerals sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General lost 1.69%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Panoro (LM:PML), which rose 2.94% or 0.004 points to trade at 0.140 at the close. Meanwhile, Trevali Mining (LM:TV) added 2.47% or 0.020 points to end at 0.830 and Edegel (LM:EDE) was up 0.81% or 0.020 points to 2.500 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sociedad Minera el Brocal SAA (LM:BRO), which fell 8.08% or 0.580 points to trade at 6.600 at the close. Relapasa (LM:REL) declined 5.65% or 0.013 points to end at 0.217 and Buenaventura (LM:BVN) was down 4.60% or 0.580 points to 12.020.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 18 to 7 and 10 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 3.25% or 1.45 to $43.21 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 2.60% or 1.19 to hit $44.65 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 3.24% or 41.05 to trade at $1225.35 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.01% to 3.4034, while EUR/PEN rose 0.58% to 3.7005.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.18% at 98.97.
