Investing.com – Peru stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Industrials, Non-Metal Minerals and Food & Beverages sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General lost 0.28% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Edegel (LM:EDE), which rose 2.17% or 0.050 points to trade at 2.350 at the close. Meanwhile, Inretail Peru (LM:INR) added 1.69% or 0.300 points to end at 18.000 and Southern Copper Corp (LM:SPC) was up 1.08% or 0.37 points to 34.66 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Candente Copper (LM:DNT), which fell 13.33% or 0.0080 points to trade at 0.0520 at the close. Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi) declined 5.46% or 0.030 points to end at 0.520 and Trevali Mining (LM:TV) was down 3.53% or 0.030 points to 0.820.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 23 to 6 and 3 ended unchanged.
Shares in Candente Copper (LM:DNT) fell to 52-week lows; falling 13.33% or 0.0080 to 0.0520.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.54% or 0.24 to $44.70 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.81% or 0.38 to hit $47.30 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.09% or 1.19 to trade at $1255.79 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.18% to 3.2715, while EUR/PEN rose 0.34% to 3.6635.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.35% at 97.16.
