Investing.com – Peru stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Non-Metal Minerals, Industrials and Food & Beverages sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General lost 0.28%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Panoro (LM:PML), which rose 6.67% or 0.010 points to trade at 0.160 at the close. Meanwhile, Austral Group SAA (LM:AUG) added 4.00% or 0.050 points to end at 1.300 and Buenaventura (LM:BVN) was up 2.94% or 0.300 points to 10.500 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Relapasa (LM:REL), which fell 5.04% or 0.013 points to trade at 0.245 at the close. Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi) declined 3.17% or 0.020 points to end at 0.610 and Edelnor (LM:EDN) was down 2.05% or 0.120 points to 5.730.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 18 to 8 and 11 ended unchanged.
Shares in Panoro (LM:PML) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 6.67% or 0.010 to 0.160.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 1.84% or 0.88 to $48.60 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.20% or 0.10 to hit $49.46 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.48% or 6.15 to trade at $1280.35 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.3115, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.7700.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.02% at 94.55.
