Investing.com – Peru stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Mining, Food & Beverages and Banking & Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General declined 0.25%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Cem Pacasmayo (LM:CPA), which rose 5.61% or 0.280 points to trade at 5.270 at the close. Meanwhile, Minsur (LM:MINi) added 3.08% or 0.040 points to end at 1.340 and Atacocha (LM:ATB) was up 2.70% or 0.005 points to 0.190 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Milpo (LM:MIL), which fell 6.25% or 0.170 points to trade at 2.550 at the close. Minera Irl (LM:IRL) unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 points to end at 0.07 and Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb) was down 1.54% or 0.010 points to 0.640.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 14 to 12 and 4 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.01% or 0.01 to $50.87 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.25% or 0.14 to hit $56.98 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.32% or 3.70 to trade at $1143.70 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.08% to 3.1775, while EUR/PEN fell 1.02% to 3.4668.
The US Dollar Index was unchanged 0.00% at 97.77.
