Investing.com – Peru stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Food & Beverages, Mining and Banking & Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General declined 0.17%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Sider (LM:SID), which rose 4.48% or 0.015 points to trade at 0.350 at the close. Meanwhile, Edegel (LM:EDE) added 2.19% or 0.050 points to end at 2.330 and Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi) was up 2.00% or 0.010 points to 0.510 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Austral Group SAA (LM:AUG), which fell 15.62% or 0.250 points to trade at 1.350 at the close. Inversiones Centenario SAA (LM:ICE) declined 3.45% or 0.100 points to end at 2.800 and Bco Continenta (LM:CON) was down 2.44% or 0.100 points to 4.000.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 13 to 9 and 13 ended unchanged.
Shares in Bco Continenta (LM:CON) fell to 52-week highs; losing 2.44% or 0.100 to 4.000.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.46% or 0.21 to $46.23 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.10% or 0.05 to hit $48.67 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.61% or 7.52 to trade at $1241.22 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.2435, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.7549.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.50% at 94.45.
