Investing.com – Peru stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the S&P Lima Juniors, Industrials and Non-Metal Minerals sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General declined 1.16% to hit a new 6-months low.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Bco Continenta (LM:CON), which rose 1.46% or 0.060 points to trade at 4.160 at the close. Meanwhile, Luz Del Sur (LM:LUZ) added 0.84% or 0.100 points to end at 12.000 and Backus Johnsto (LM:BKJi) was up 0.09% or 0.020 points to 22.020 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Panoro (LM:PML), which fell 11.11% or 0.020 points to trade at 0.160 at the close. Candente Copper (LM:DNT) declined 10.53% or 0.0060 points to end at 0.0510 and Sider (LM:SID) was down 9.09% or 0.050 points to 0.500.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 24 to 4 and 12 ended unchanged.
Shares in Candente Copper (LM:DNT) fell to 52-week lows; down 10.53% or 0.0060 to 0.0510.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 1.77% or 1.24 to $68.63 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.06% or 0.05 to hit $77.06 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.27% or 3.20 to trade at $1202.30 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.03% to 3.3165, while EUR/PEN rose 0.38% to 3.8542.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.31% at 95.07.
