Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Mining, Banking & Financials and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General rose 0.79%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Panoro (LM:PML), which rose 9.09% or 0.010 points to trade at 0.120 at the close. Meanwhile, Milpo (LM:MIL) added 4.24% or 0.120 points to end at 2.950 and Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb) was up 3.23% or 0.020 points to 0.640 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Cerro Verde (LM:CVE), which fell 2.12% or 0.400 points to trade at 18.500 at the close. Corporacion Aceros Arequipa SA (LM:ARE) declined 1.47% or 0.010 points to end at 0.670 and Unacem (LM:CEL) was down 1.43% or 0.040 points to 2.750.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 15 to 9 and 8 ended unchanged.
Shares in Milpo (LM:MIL) rose to 3-years highs; up 4.24% or 0.120 to 2.950.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 2.37% or 1.19 to $51.48 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.02% or 0.01 to hit $52.55 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.56% or 7.10 to trade at $1270.00 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.3800, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.7155.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.01% at 97.87.
