Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Services, Electricity and Mining sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General rose 0.62%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Backus Johnsto (LM:BKJi), which rose 3.89% or 0.590 points to trade at 15.750 at the close. Meanwhile, Edegel (LM:EDE) added 1.56% or 0.050 points to end at 3.250 and Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb) was up 1.54% or 0.010 points to 0.660 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Inretail Peru (LM:INR), which fell 1.36% or 0.250 points to trade at 18.150 at the close. Ferreyros (LM:FER) unchanged 0.00% or 0.000 points to end at 1.640 and Cerro Verde (LM:CVE) was 0.00% or 0.000 points to 18.050.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 15 to 2 and 12 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for October delivery was up 2.31% or 1.02 to $45.17 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 1.24% or 0.58 to hit $47.41 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.18% or 2.35 to trade at $1330.45 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.3535, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.7799.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.14% at 95.74.
