Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Mining, Food & Beverages and Agriculture sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General gained 0.43%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Trevali Mining (LM:TV), which rose 5.33% or 0.040 points to trade at 0.790 at the close. Meanwhile, Buenaventura (LM:BVN) added 2.64% or 0.350 points to end at 13.590 and Inversiones Centenario SAA (LM:ICE) was up 1.89% or 0.100 points to 5.400 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM:POM), which fell 3.68% or 0.007 points to trade at 0.183 at the close. Atacocha (LM:ATB) declined 2.94% or 0.010 points to end at 0.330 and Cerro Verde (LM:CVE) was down 2.70% or 0.500 points to 18.000.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 13 to 11 and 11 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 2.38% or 1.20 to $49.32 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.02% or 0.01 to hit $50.26 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.84% or 10.65 to trade at $1274.35 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.3565, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.6522.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.05% at 98.69.
