Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Banking & Financials, Electricity and Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General rose 0.33%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM:POM), which rose 2.86% or 0.004 points to trade at 0.144 at the close. Meanwhile, Relapasa (LM:REL) added 2.22% or 0.005 points to end at 0.230 and Luz Del Sur (LM:LUZ) was up 2.08% or 0.240 points to 11.750 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Buenaventura (LM:BVN), which fell 3.70% or 0.430 points to trade at 11.200 at the close. Minera Irl (LM:IRL) unchanged 2.70% or 0.00 points to end at 0.07 and Cem Pacasmayo (LM:CPA) was down 0.67% or 0.050 points to 7.450.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 12 to 7 and 9 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 2.19% or 1.01 to $47.05 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.06% or 0.03 to hit $49.58 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 1.72% or 21.35 to trade at $1220.95 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.2576, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.6942.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.59% at 95.95.
