Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Food & Beverages, Non-Metal Minerals and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General rose 0.32% to hit a new 52-week high.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Austral Group SAA (LM:AUG), which rose 5.04% or 0.070 points to trade at 1.460 at the close. Meanwhile, Corporacion Aceros Arequipa SA (LM:ARE) added 2.94% or 0.020 points to end at 0.700 and Trevali Mining (LM:TV) was up 2.90% or 0.020 points to 0.710 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Cem Pacasmayo (LM:CPA), which fell 4.18% or 0.280 points to trade at 6.420 at the close. Minsur (LM:MINi) declined 2.24% or 0.030 points to end at 1.310 and Atacocha (LM:ATB) was down 2.07% or 0.007 points to 0.331.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 14 to 10 and 11 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 2.97% or 1.33 to $46.16 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.04% or 0.02 to hit $48.55 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.35% or 4.70 to trade at $1349.30 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.3625, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.7822.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.16% at 94.95.
