Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Banking & Financials, Mining and S&P Lima Juniors sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General added 0.31%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Sider (LM:SID), which rose 9.09% or 0.015 points to trade at 0.180 at the close. Meanwhile, Trevali Mining (LM:TV) added 3.08% or 0.020 points to end at 0.670 and Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi) was up 2.56% or 0.010 points to 0.400 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Relapasa (LM:REL), which fell 4.54% or 0.009 points to trade at 0.189 at the close. Sociedad Minera el Brocal SAA (LM:BRO) declined 4.34% or 0.310 points to end at 6.840 and Ferreyros (LM:FER) was down 2.80% or 0.040 points to 1.390.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 21 to 8 and 4 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.07% or 0.04 to $52.81 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.17% or 0.10 to hit $58.71 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.31% or 3.60 to trade at $1162.80 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.44% to 3.1800, while EUR/PEN rose 0.72% to 3.5434.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.71% at 95.98.
