Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Mining, Food & Beverages and Banking & Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General gained 0.27%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Buenaventura (LM:BVN), which rose 2.07% or 0.300 points to trade at 14.800 at the close. Meanwhile, Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi) added 1.75% or 0.010 points to end at 0.580 and Alicorp (LM:ALI) was up 1.27% or 0.100 points to 8.000 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ferreyros (LM:FER), which fell 3.05% or 0.050 points to trade at 1.590 at the close. Panoro (LM:PML) declined 2.19% or 0.003 points to end at 0.134 and Relapasa (LM:REL) was down 1.92% or 0.005 points to 0.255.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 16 to 8 and 9 ended unchanged.
Shares in Alicorp (LM:ALI) rose to 52-week highs; rising 1.27% or 0.100 to 8.000.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.39% or 0.18 to $46.06 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.02% or 0.01 to hit $48.19 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.23% or 3.05 to trade at $1331.45 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.4035, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.8102.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.22% at 95.12.
