Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Non-Metal Minerals, S&P Lima Juniors and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General rose 0.19%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA), which rose 9.05% or 0.190 points to trade at 2.290 at the close. Meanwhile, Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM:POM) added 4.38% or 0.007 points to end at 0.167 and Minera Irl (LM:IRL) was unchanged 3.77% or 0.00 points to 0.11 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Trevali Mining (LM:TV), which fell 4.04% or 0.040 points to trade at 0.950 at the close. Sociedad Minera el Brocal SAA (LM:BRO) declined 3.49% or 0.300 points to end at 8.300 and Atacocha (LM:ATB) was down 2.94% or 0.010 points to 0.330.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 16 to 13 and 10 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for May delivery was down 0.67% or 0.34 to $50.26 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $53.09 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.30% or 3.80 to trade at $1255.00 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.2495, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.4613.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.06% at 100.36.
