Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Telecoms, Mining and Lima Assorted sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the Lima Stock Exchange General rose 0.34%.
The best performers of the session on the Lima Stock Exchange General were Trevali Mining (LM:TV), which rose 6.17% or 0.050 points to trade at 0.860 at the close. Meanwhile, Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb) added 3.85% or 0.020 points to end at 0.540 and Ferreyros (LM:FER) was up 2.21% or 0.030 points to 1.390 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sider (LM:SID), which fell 5.88% or 0.010 points to trade at 0.160 at the close. Casa Grande (LM:CSG) declined 3.21% or 0.170 points to end at 5.130 and Panoro (LM:PML) was down 2.60% or 0.004 points to 0.150.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 10 to 10 and 6 ended unchanged.
Shares in Sider (LM:SID) fell to all time lows; falling 5.88% or 0.010 to 0.160. Shares in Casa Grande (LM:CSG) fell to 52-week lows; down 3.21% or 0.170 to 5.130.
Crude oil for May delivery was down 0.60% or 0.29 to $48.58 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 0.21% or 0.12 to hit $56.29 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 1.27% or 15.20 to trade at $1185.50 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.05% to 3.0955, while EUR/PEN fell 0.32% to 3.3495.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.70% at 98.30.
