Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Lima Assorted, Food & Beverage and Non-Metal Minerals sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the Lima Stock Exchange General rose 0.01%.
The best performers of the session on the Lima Stock Exchange General were Credicorp (LM:BAP), which rose 1.69% or 2.300 points to trade at 138.300 at the close. Meanwhile, Inretail Peru (LM:INR) added 1.37% or 0.200 points to end at 14.800 and Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA) was up 1.04% or 0.050 points to 4.850 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sider (LM:SID), which fell 5.88% or 0.010 points to trade at 0.170 at the close. Rio Alto Minin (LM:RIO) declined 2.93% or 0.080 points to end at 2.650 and Luz Del Sur (LM:LUZ) was down 2.89% or 0.310 points to 10.400.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 9 to 6 and 10 ended unchanged.
Shares in Sider (LM:SID) fell to all time lows; falling 5.88% or 0.010 to 0.170.
Crude oil for May delivery was down 5.98% or 3.08 to $48.35 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 5.21% or 3.08 to hit $56.10 a barrel, while the April Gold contract fell 0.66% or 8.00 to trade at $1196.80 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.41% to 3.0940, while EUR/PEN fell 0.32% to 3.3604.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.02% at 97.56.
