Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the S&P Lima Juniors, Mining and Food & Beverages sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General gained 0.14%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Panoro (LM:PML), which rose 12.24% or 0.024 points to trade at 0.220 at the close. Meanwhile, Trevali Mining (LM:TV) added 9.26% or 0.050 points to end at 0.590 and PPX Mining Corp (LM:PPX) was unchanged 4.35% or 0.00 points to 0.07 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bolsa de Valores de Lima SAA (LM:BVL), which fell 1.82% or 0.050 points to trade at 2.700 at the close. Credicorp (LM:BAP) declined 1.76% or 4.00 points to end at 223.00 and Atacocha (LM:ATB) was down 0.44% or 0.002 points to 0.448.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 17 to 6 and 11 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 1.96% or 1.41 to $73.53 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 1.84% or 1.50 to hit $82.88 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.74% or 8.80 to trade at $1196.20 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.12% to 3.2995, while EUR/PEN fell 0.64% to 3.8316.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.20% at 94.80.
