Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Industrials, Non-Metal Minerals and Banking & Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General added 0.78%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA), which rose 13.37% or 0.230 points to trade at 1.950 at the close. Meanwhile, Candente Copper (LM:DNT) added 6.06% or 0.0040 points to end at 0.0700 and Ferreyros (LM:FER) was up 4.30% or 0.080 points to 1.940 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Atacocha (LM:ATB), which fell 4.76% or 0.015 points to trade at 0.300 at the close. Cem Pacasmayo (LM:CPA) declined 2.13% or 0.160 points to end at 7.340 and Alicorp (LM:ALI) was down 1.96% or 0.150 points to 7.500.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 19 to 9 and 9 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for May delivery was up 1.49% or 0.71 to $48.44 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 1.08% or 0.55 to hit $51.45 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.33% or 4.20 to trade at $1251.50 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.2435, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.5141.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.50% at 99.53.
