Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Banking & Financials, Non-Metal Minerals and Food & Beverages sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General gained 0.19%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA), which rose 3.32% or 0.070 points to trade at 2.180 at the close. Meanwhile, Credicorp (LM:BAP) added 1.23% or 2.10 points to end at 173.50 and Luz Del Sur (LM:LUZ) was up 1.20% or 0.140 points to 11.860 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Panoro (LM:PML), which fell 6.15% or 0.008 points to trade at 0.122 at the close. Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM:POM) declined 4.46% or 0.007 points to end at 0.150 and Minsur (LM:MINi) was down 2.10% or 0.030 points to 1.400.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 16 to 8 and 8 ended unchanged.
Shares in Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM:POM) fell to 3-years lows; falling 4.46% or 0.007 to 0.150.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 4.96% or 2.39 to $45.80 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.10% or 0.05 to hit $48.20 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.61% or 7.90 to trade at $1289.60 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.2710, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.6630.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.18% at 96.67.
