Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Auto & components, Hotels, Restaurants & Leisure and Energy sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 1.89%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Renewable Energy Corporation ASA (OSLO:REC), which rose 4.93% or 0.07 points to trade at 1.51 at the close. Meanwhile, Akastor ASA (OSLO:AKAS) added 2.70% or 0.3 points to end at 11.4 and TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OSLO:TGS) was up 0.32% or 0.5 points to 158.2 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OSLO:FOE), which fell 7.16% or 3.0 points to trade at 39.1 at the close. Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OSLO:GOGLT) declined 6.75% or 1.60 points to end at 22.10 and Seadrill Limited (OSLO:SDRL) was down 5.90% or 3.1 points to 48.9.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 126 to 47 and 7 ended unchanged.
Shares in Seadrill Limited (OSLO:SDRL) fell to 5-year lows; down 5.90% or 3.1 to 48.9.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 2.30% or 1.05 to $44.65 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 2.09% or 1.01 to hit $47.59 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 1.01% or 11.60 to trade at $1134.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.69% to 9.5913, while USD/NOK rose 0.44% to 8.5378.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.27% at 96.10.
