Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Energy, Food, Beverages & Tobacco and Consumer Durables And Apparel sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 1.17%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which rose 2.69% or 5.9 points to trade at 225.3 at the close. Meanwhile, Telenor ASA (OL:TEL) added 0.15% or 0.2 points to end at 137.8 and Orkla ASA (OL:ORK) was down 0.06% or 0.05 points to 85.35 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which fell 18.36% or 1.01 points to trade at 4.47 at the close. Frontline Ltd (OL:FRO) declined 7.46% or 3.90 points to end at 48.40 and DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) was down 5.23% or 0.44 points to 7.89.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 118 to 58 and 26 ended unchanged.
Shares in Frontline Ltd (OL:FRO) fell to 52-week lows; down 7.46% or 3.90 to 48.40.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 1.02% or 0.50 to $49.40 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.70% or 0.36 to hit $51.82 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.79% or 9.92 to trade at $1266.32 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.42% to 9.3758, while USD/NOK fell 0.07% to 8.3931.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.26% at 97.39.
