Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Technology Hardware & Equipment, Utilities and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 0.87%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which rose 0.50% or 1.2 points to trade at 240.9 at the close. Meanwhile, Gjensidige Forsikring ASA (OL:GJFS) added 0.38% or 0.5 points to end at 133.1 and Frontline Ltd (OL:FRO) was up 0.26% or 0.15 points to 57.70 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which fell 37.80% or 5.28 points to trade at 8.69 at the close. SalMar ASA (OL:SALM) declined 1.91% or 3.50 points to end at 180.20 and DnB ASA (OL:DNB) was down 1.67% or 2.3 points to 135.1.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 108 to 67 and 26 ended unchanged.
Shares in Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL) fell to all time lows; falling 37.80% or 5.28 to 8.69. Shares in SalMar ASA (OL:SALM) fell to 52-week lows; losing 1.91% or 3.50 to 180.20.
Crude oil for May delivery was up 1.47% or 0.74 to $50.98 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 1.75% or 0.93 to hit $54.05 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.28% or 3.55 to trade at $1257.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.13% to 9.1632, while USD/NOK rose 0.18% to 8.5937.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.14% at 100.50.
